ESTABLISHED in 1988, Reitsma & Associates is an innovative, design-driven practice, focusing primarily on residential design - including new houses and small to medium sized unit developments.

OUR APPROACH We approach each brief, each client and each site as a unique opportunity. We believe that successful buildings, whether large or small, are designed to enrich people's lives and the quality of their environment.

SERVICE We provide a complete architectural service; from concept design through to computer generated layouts & imagery and on to detailed working drawings ready for council submission. Optional site supervision is available to ensure all details are faithfully translated to the built product.

CLIENTS are the basis of our practice. Many have returned to us for a 2nd & 3rd project, a successful design is one that meets our clients' needs and exceeds their expectations. We have found our past clients are our best advertisement.

BUDGET constraints are arguably the most important part of any project brief as such we make it our priority, from the start, to deliver every project on budget. To this end, the project is assessed at each stage, ensuring the finished plans can be built rather than filed. We do not see budgetary constraint as a limit to innovation, but rather as a catalyst for innovation. One of our more recent award winning projects was constructed for less than $80,000.00!

DETAIL is the difference between a “good” project and a “great” project; as such each element is important to us & is carefully considered & clearly detailed.

EXPERIENCE with more than 20 years of design experience we like to think we are old enough to know better - avoiding micro trends, but still young enough to be innovative - not stuck in a particular rut.
